I’ve been in the research industry for a very long time! I’ve had the occasional sojourn into product development, advertising, manufacturing – even ran my own wine bar for a while – but always stayed active in the market research industry (I’ve been a full member of the MRS for 26 years).
I set up my own agency in 1989 and for the next 14 years experienced the joys(!) of running a business employing 80 people. During this time I spent 10 years as a Council member for the UK’s MR trade association, BMRA.
I am now Consultant Research Director at Blauw Research UK specialising in the planning and execution of multinational projects and the development, marketing and delivery of innovative research techniques such as Design Game, The Superpromoter and Social Media Analytics. In my spare time(!) I am responsible for the delivery of the webinar programme for the Independnt Consultants Group.
